🐰🐰 8 Dimensions of wellness
“Springtime is the land awakening.
The March winds are the morning yawn." ― Lewis Grizzard
“It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.”― Charles Dickens, Great Expectations
“Daffodils,
That come before the swallow dares, and take
The winds of March with beauty.”― William Shakespeare (The Winter’s Tale)
The only constant is change...
March is the month many of us wait for longingly, as Spring officially begins on Sunday, March 20. Days are getting longer with earlier sunrises and later sunsets, temperatures are trending warmer, and some early flowers are starting to appear. The nicer weather coincides with a decrease in covid cases, so I hope you are all making an effort to get outside more and reconnect safely with friends and loved ones.
In case you weren't aware... Every home in the U.S. is eligible to order 4 (four) free at-home covid tests. The tests are rapid antigen at-home test (not PCR). For more information or to order your free COVID-19 at home test at COVIDTests.gov
And speaking of health and healthy habits... The start of the Spring season is a perfect time to do a quick wellness self assessment. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Wellness Initiative outlines eight dimensions of wellness:
Emotional
Spiritual
Intellectual
Physical
Environmental
Financial
Occupational
Social
I encourage you to spend a little time this month evaluating what you are already doing well, and what dimensions may need a little attention. We can explore these in session if you would like.
