๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฐ  Progress not Perfection

"Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence."โ€• Vince Lombardi

The only constant is change...

Can you believe it's almost the end of the year? It's time to grab a cozy blanket and a cup of your favorite warm beverage. This month, we're diving into the beautiful journey of progress, not perfection, and how to wrap up the year with gratitude and intentionality.

Reflecting on Growth

Think back to Januaryโ€”what were your hopes, dreams, and aspirations for this year? Now, fast forward to today. Look at all the mountains you've climbed, the challenges you've faced head-on, and the moments of triumph you've celebrated.

Maybe you started a new hobby, rekindled an old friendship, or discovered a strength you never knew you had. These are all pieces of the puzzle that make up your journey. Remember, every step forward, no matter how small, is a step in the right direction.

๐ŸŒŸ Celebrate Successes, Big and Small ๐ŸŒŸ

Let's talk celebrations! Whether it's a major achievement or simply a day where you managed to get out of bed and face the world, it's all worth celebrating. So, take a moment to acknowledge your winsโ€”both the ones you expected and the delightful surprises that came your way.

Maybe you aced that big project at work, or perhaps you finally managed to tackle that yoga pose you've been working on. Whatever it is, give yourself a high-five, a pat on the back, or a little happy dance. You deserve it!

Setting Intentions for the Coming Year

As the year winds down, it's the perfect time to start thinking about what you want to bring into the next chapter of your life. What are your hopes, dreams, and goals for the coming year? They don't have to be huge, earth-shattering revelations. It could be as simple as dedicating more time to self-care, trying out a new hobby, or fostering deeper connections with loved ones.

Remember, these intentions are like little guiding stars that help illuminate your path. They're not set in stone, and it's okay if they evolve as you do. The important thing is that they reflect what matters most to you right now.

Embrace the Holiday Season with Indulgence and Joy

The holiday season is a time of joy, love, and indulgence! Treat yourself to your favorite holiday treats, cozy up with a good book, and revel in the warmth of the season. Surround yourself with the people who bring you happiness and soak in every precious moment.

Spreading Kindness to Those in Need

As we indulge in our own blessings, let's also extend a helping hand to those less fortunate. It could be a simple act of kindness like donating to a local charity, volunteering your time, or even just lending a listening ear to someone who needs it. Remember, a little kindness goes a long way.

So as we approach the end of this year, let's take a moment to reflect, celebrate, and set our intentions for the journey ahead. Progress may not always be perfect, but it's the imperfect moments that make our stories beautiful.

Here's to you, and all the progress you've made. You're doing amazing things. Keep shining!

Wishing you health and happiness, with love and light.

Some housekeeping items:

  • Scheduling:

        • I will be taking a few days off toward the end of the month (December 24-26 and December 31-January 1).  If our regular session time will be impacted, let's talk about choosing a different day.

        • This season gets busy with holiday preparations, more activities on your social calendar, and end-of-year projects and exams.    I believe that family, friends, and fun are priorities in our lives, and am happy to reschedule our session times when you have something enjoyable to do (or otherwise important, like studying or a project).  Please remember to cancel or reschedule your appointments with as much advance notice as possible so that we can reschedule and I can offer the session time to someone else. No shows and late cancelations (fewer than 24 hours notice) are subject to a no show charge.

  • Crisis Numbers:

I recommend adding these to your contacts in your phone. If you don't need them, you might be able to share them with someone who does.
