🐰🐰 Better Days Ahead
"No winter lasts forever, no spring skips its turn. (Hal Borland)
Many of us are currently under a winter storm warning, hopefully warm inside watching the snow fall outside our windows. Snow has a way of quieting things and slowing time even if just for a day. I hope you're able to take advantage of the slower pace today and practice a little extra self care. If you do need to venture out, please be safe.
A month ago we greeted the new year, most of us tired after a year of uncertainty but resilient and optimistic and ready for the promises of better days ahead. As we start the second chapter of 2021, it's a good time to revisit the intentions you set, and make adjustments as needed. Consider what you need in your routine - sleep and down time, nutrition, physical activity, social and creative outlets. I encourage you to be mindful of your self talk and the influences of others, both those close to you and those you interact with on social media.
For those facing more transition in the days and months ahead, now is a good time to focus on the basics. Good self care now will allow you to feel more prepared for changes to come. Change naturally brings up some feelings of fear and uncertainty, but also offers opportunity for growth and adventure. You are more prepared than you realize, and you have the resources and supports you need to make your transition a success. I am here to support you however I can.
If you haven't had a check up with your health care provider recently, consider setting up an appointment - many providers are offering telehealth if you're not comfortable going into the office. With COVID-19 vaccines slowly becoming available to different priority groups, it's a good idea to talk with your healthcare provider about whether a vaccine is appropriate for you, and to discuss any questions or concerns you might have.
I am grateful to be a part of your journey. Please let me know if there is anything I can be doing to support you.
